The role

We are seeking enthusiastic individual to join the Kingston Active team as a Sport and Recreation Liaison Officer. Reporting to the Team Leader Sport and Recreation, you will be responsible for maintaining partnerships with community recreation and sporting organisations for the purpose of providing sustainable opportunities for people to be active in Kingston.

 

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Ability to demonstrate the City of Kingston’s values of Future Orientated, Accountable, Dynamic, Expert, Community and Celebration
  • Familiarity with the operation of outdoor sporting and recreation facilities
  • Proven ability to co-ordinate stakeholder input and involvement with the planning and delivery of works and planning projects.
  • Excellent communication  and organisational skills with an ability to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the Kingston community.
  • Proven written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare project plans, engagement plans, reports and correspondence based on evidence-based research and data.
  • Tertiary qualifications in sport and recreation administration and/or project management qualifications or less formal qualification with demonstrated experience working with sporting and recreation clubs and school groups.
